Senior1Care Expanding Services to Fort Wayne Area

Mishawaka-based Senior1Care, adds Fort Wayne to its service area through acquisition of Angel Corps.

SOUTH BEND – Senior1Care, a Hoosier-owned home care company headquartered in Mishawaka, with additional offices in Elkhart and Carmel, is expanding its footprint to the Fort Wayne area through the acquisition of Angel Corps. This acquisition grows Senior1Care’s service area considerably, more than doubling its counties served.

“Senior1Care is excited to become part of the Fort Wayne Community,” said Senior1Care President and Co-Founder Kyle Bossung. “It’s a great opportunity to be in Indiana’s second largest city, there is great momentum here and we want to be a part of it. Rick and Dorian Maples, the founders of Angel Corps, have similar values and created an agency that’s become a respected part of the community for the last 20 years and we look forward to building on that success.”

As Indiana’s population continues to age, there is a need for quality home care services and Senior1Care is prepared to meet that need. “We feel we can be a professional resource to the Fort Wayne community,” said Bossung. Senior1Care provides an extensive scope of services including personal care, recovery care, dementia care, and extended-hours care.

Senior1Care is also planning to open a new branch of their premier CNA Training school, Legacy CNA Training, in Fort Wayne. Legacy CNA Training offers accelerated courses for current and future caregivers to accelerate their career by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to earning CNA certification with Legacy CNA, all Senior1Care caregivers receive cutting edge training experiences. Through Senior1Care’s partnership with Embodied Labs, caregivers experience virtual reality training to ‘live a day in their client’s shoes’. This VR headset training helps caregivers empathize and better understand the conditions their clients experience.
