Legacy Medical Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in nursing fundamentals, patient care techniques, and other essential skills necessary for students to become competent CNAs. This role involves teaching in classroom, lab, and clinical settings to ensure students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in patient care.

This position plays a key role in delivering the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pre-Nursing Pathway to high school students, providing them with foundational healthcare knowledge and hands-on training to prepare them for careers in nursing, long-term care, and home care. Additionally, the instructor will educate adult learners in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana, with good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and standards of practice, with the ability to apply them effectively in both instructional and clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, mentor, and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and deliver effective instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical environments, ensuring students develop both theoretical understanding and hands-on proficiency.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology, instructional resources, and simulation tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population, respond to changing program requirements and adjust teaching methods as needed to support student success.
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards, ethical principles, and best practices in both nursing and education.
  • Previous experience as a CNA instructor or nurse educator is preferred but not required; candidates with a strong clinical background and a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and career guidance to students exploring healthcare pathways.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, student assessments, and clinical coordination within a high school setting.
  • Background check clearance is required, in accordance with Legacy Medical Academy and school district policies.
