Legacy Medical Academy is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor who is passionate about shaping the future of healthcare.

In this role, you will educate high school students enrolled in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pre-Nursing Pathway. Your responsibilities include delivering comprehensive instruction in nursing fundamentals, patient care techniques, medical terminology, and essential CNA skills. You will engage students through classroom lessons, hands-on lab exercises, and clinical experiences, ensuring they acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. This position is instrumental in preparing students for rewarding careers in nursing, long-term care, and home care.

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana, with good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and standards of practice, with the ability to apply them effectively in both instructional and clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, mentor, and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and deliver effective instruction in classroom, lab, and clinical environments, ensuring students develop both theoretical understanding and hands-on proficiency.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology, instructional resources, and simulation tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population, respond to changing program requirements and adjust teaching methods as needed to support student success.
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards, ethical principles, and best practices in both nursing and education.
  • Previous experience as a CNA instructor or nurse educator is preferred but not required; candidates with a strong clinical background and a passion for teaching are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to provide mentorship and career guidance to students exploring healthcare pathways.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning, student assessments, and clinical coordination within a high school setting.
  • Background check clearance is required, in accordance with Legacy Medical Academy and school district policies.
